We're now your Neighborhood Farm!

For 2008 we are expanding our offerings to help promote healthy, nourishing and sustainable eating right here on Bainbridge Island!

All items will be available starting this spring at our onsite Honor Stand.  Items will be:

  • Eggs - from our flock of pastured chickens.  100% organically raised
  • Fruits and vegtables - 100% organic and heirloom seeds.  Organically produced
  • Grass fed lamb - Order now! The lamb will be harvested in the fall and since we only do a few they sell out in the spring.  Due to current regulations we sell our lamb only in 1/2 or full lamb orders.

If you have any questions about our farm offerings please feel free to contact the farm at pony@rollingbayfarm.com.

Pony Publicity

You can't keep a great thing secret for long and we're starting to get noticed!  I love promoting these amazing ponies...

We're quoted and featured as passionate experts in the Chincoteague Pony world in the new book "Out of the Sea: Today's Chincoteague Pony" by Lois Szymanski.  Here is an article about our contribution from a local paper Bainbridge Review - Out of the Sea article

I contribute to riding magazines telling the story of the Chincoteague Pony.  Click below to see the publications.

Special Engagements

July 2007, RBF brings the only Chincoteague Pony to the Horse 'N Around Days equine expo in Western Washington.  Our stallion "Santana" was on display, we had an inofrmation booth and gave daily lectures on this rare breed.

July 2007, RBF and the CPBA get numerous quotes as leading contributors to the Chincoteague Pony world in the new book by Lois Szymanski "Out of the Sea: Today's Chincoteague Pony".

March 2007, RBF hosts a local Brownie Troop and helps them earn an "Animal" merit badge.

June 2006, RBF made a special presentation about the Chincoteague Ponies to the Silver Spurs Saddle Club.

May 2006, RBF gave a special presentaion to the Bainbridge Island Pony Club about the history of the Chincoteague Pony.  The kids and parents were wonderful and it was great to bring "Misty" to life for these wonderful young ladies.

April 2006, RBF has an exhibition booth at the annual Silver Spurs Open House and Tack Sale - We were the only breeder there and it was a great experience.

We really like having visitors to our farm - and so do our ponies.

"Thank you so much for letting [us] visit your farm.  Our trip to your farm to see the Chincoteague ponies was a highlight for both of us when I visited this March.  [We] took a lot of very funny pictures of me being "eaten" by Misty and pretty ones of Breeze and her new foal.  I hope to get the chance to visit again in the future...." D.D from VA

We love to get e-mail from people who are glad to see another Chincoteague Pony breeder or who just have questions.  Feel free to write - we love to talk "pony"!

"...buying a house with 3.6 acres and the seller is selling one of her horses that she breed to us.  He is 1 and a half and not fixed or broken but he is so pretty.  We are beginners so anything you can suggest would be welcome."  G.G. from MD
